A friend is someone special
We all wish to find
Someone who will be there
Through all our troubled times
A friend is someone simple
Who’ll love you till the end
A friend is someone unique
Who’ll spare a hand to lend
Someone who will joke around
And often make you smile
A friend is someone inspiring
Whom will walk a million miles
To write a poem to a friend
Who’ll always be there for me
Although it’s short and not so long
I dedicate my life to thee
No matter what can happen
Day by day it fades
I hope that all our memories
Will never die away
I know these times are hard
But we’ll both seek it through
